`Stars and leaves`


Couldn`t we try to button the sea to the sky
Do leaves fall heavenbound when we`re all asleep
Does the earth revolve just to see where we`re going
And do the stars look down and say:
"Hey! We`re watching you..."

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin
Does the moon bear witness to the loves of the lonely and lost
Is time just something we invented to frighten ourselves
And do the stars look down and say:
"Hey! We`re watching you..."

Friends are like leaves
The devil`s in the wind
Tossed and torn away
Friends are everything

How many tears does it take to wash the face of the moon
Do our dreams leave our bodies at night and people the sky
Do leaves fall heavenbound when we`re all asleep
And do the stars look down and say:
"Hey! We`re watching you..."
