THE DEFINITIVE HISTORY OF THE WORLD`S FAVOURITE `LOST` BAND FROM THE SIXTIES
www.chelsearecords.co.uk
You can follow the band`s true history from its humble beginnings as The Sidekicks
to the name and style change as the band became The Key. With the maturing of the band`s songwriting they secured their
first recording contract and became Kaleidoscope. Taking control of their own destiny the band shook
off their psychedelic past and embraced the new decade with a new musical style -- and yet another name change: Fairfield Parlour.
After the release of a successful single and their critically acclaimed album, the band took time out at the legendary
Isle of Wight Festival, taking on a new temporary persona as I Luv Wight to produce one of their very best single releases.
Read the whole sorry tale of intrigue and artist abuse. Now Fairfield Parlour embarks on its most ambitious project:
the double album, `White-Faced Lady.` Destined not to be released for another two decades, this would prove to be the band`s
swan-song. Read about the origins of the album`s story, the all- night recording sessions in Chelsea -- the cruel twist of fate
that deprived the band of its recording contract. But Fate had more in store for the four London chums. Rediscovered by a later
generation, the band`s entire back catalogue has since been reissued -- and Peter Daltrey now enjoys a world-wide solo career with
no less than thirteen albums to his name! There are also links to recent interviews and you can read
reviews of Peter`s many albums -- and while
you`re here say hello in the Guestbook. This is the story of Kaleidoscope in each of its many incarnations: past, present -- and future...
